A Matrix-type management organization provides resources to the field workforce from within the Construction Department and other Sections (disciplines). The site Construction Manager reports to the Project Manager on project-related matters such as schedule, material, and technical problems, and logistics. He receives assistance and instructions from the Head Office construction management on methods, techniques, labor, etc.

Activities and responsibilities of the site construction team include:

• Site management.
• Field Engineering.
• Supervision.
• Loss Prevention / Safety.
• Quality Assurance / Quality Control
• Field accounting
• Field accounting.
• Field administration, labor, logistics, permits, Government formalities.
• Field scheduling and cost control to issue reports, follow progress, monitor and update schedules and costs that are integrated into the master report control system in the home office.
• Site purchasing and stores.
• Site fabrication shop, tools, erection equipment, vehicles, portable buildings, machinery.

Subcontracts for certain works.
